Thursday TV: now even later! *sigh*

I haven't had a chance to see Supernatural, Ugly Betty or The O.C.. This is making me very cranky. I did manage to see Grey's Anatomy and Smallville, though.
Grey's Anatomy:
The writers have pulled off the impossible. They've written likeable Meredith/Derek. They're cute together. Damn you, Shonda!
Bailey's prohibition to Izzie about the surgery made me cheer: finally some actual mentoring going on! And it's the right call, too; Izzie needs to find a balance, and Bailey's stopping her from scrubbing in on the surgery made her decide to do just that, so yay.
Addison and Alex are just hot. It's wrong and unethical, and she's clearly doing it for the wrong reasons. It's probably end horribly. But it's hot.
I liked that the abortion storyline didn't treat Addison as a victim, nor did it villify her. Rock on, show!
Burke and Christina have descended into adolescence. It's no longer adorable, it's painful to watch; worse, it's boring.
George's dad's death was just heartwrenching. T.R. Knight acted the hell out of this episode.
Smallville:
Oh, Smallville. How are you so awesome, yet so cheesy? The scene with them walking away from the fire, their faces all illuminated? I was giggling like a mad fool, but I was also crowing "Hell, yeah!" I have very little shame.
What is up with Bart? The last time he was on Smallville, he was charming; now, he just comes off as smarmy. Though he did flirt with Chloe. Man has good taste.
This just in: Chloe is Oracle. No, really, think about it! She's in the tower, mapping out their every move, and helping them navigate around. Her code name is 'Watchtower', fergodsake. QED. If she's not going to somehow, magically transform into Lois at the end of the series (which I want to have happen SO BADLY OMG), I'd be okay with having her in a somewhat Babs-like capacity.
OLLIE! Dammit, he was just starting to grow on me, and now he's gone. Uncool, writers. Uncool. And now we're stuck with the dead weight that is the Zoners subplot. Yawn.
